Hello,

if it were dominant, it would have to happen in every generation. It doesn’t. Therefore, a recessive disease can be assumed here.

hemophilia (blood disease) is the classic example of gender-bound inheritance (at least for types A and B).

Fathers pass on the defective gene via the X-chromosome to their daughters, but where there is no expression (unless the mother’s father is also a blood). About half of the sons of these women are affected.
