Bio Lk Phospholipids in oil?

Hey, I have a question about phospholipids. We've already learned that phospholipids arrange themselves in water with the hydrophilic head facing outward and the hydrophobic "legs" facing inward so they don't touch the water. So, they arrange themselves either in a circular shape or in the shape of a membrane. What would happen if you put them in oil? How do they arrange themselves? And what happens if you put them in a water-oil mixture? (It's a question in my exam, so my teacher won't answer it, and I can't find an answer on Google.) Thanks 🙂

The ending means “phobic”, negative. “Phil” comes from the Greek (phílos = friendly; Friend) so accepting/affin.

Head part: Lipophobic

tail part: Lipophil

Now you can consider how the phospholipid interacts with oil.
