The picture set here is certainly a stitch, it consists of fine black lines on the paper. A woodcut would be much coarser, a painting would be colored.

The term “caricature” refers to the content, not to the method of representation!

Not necessarily, it can also be a colored stitch. The method was used especially for mass spreading of inexpensive images.

I don’t know. But if I had this as a task, I would look at it on the Internet. After all, I know how the picture sounds and that it might be a painting. :
