Bicycle as an exercise bike?

I would like to use my bike in the apartment.
I did a little research and read that
is feasible and there are so-called roller trainers for this, so
a kind of stand for the bike, which allows training
at home. However, I have also read often
that it is quite loud during training, back there
a roller is installed which the tire touches.
What I wonder is: could the bike not
simply fix it on a comparable stand,
which has no such roller at the back and the wheel
that's why it just spins in the air? Is there such a thing,
So, stand without a roller? If so, where can I get it
buy? All the stands I have seen so far,
are with a role…

Maybe an ergometer is a noise-free alternative.

Without a role, you wouldn't have a resistance to pedaling and it wouldn't be a training but high-speed turning of your rear wheel.

This only gives free or fixed rolls.

Yes, a roller trainer like that can be quite loud. It is necessary to use a special roller tire and put the roller trainer on an anti-vibration mat, then it becomes bearable.

Couldn't you just fix the bike on a comparable stand that doesn't have such a role at the back, and the wheel just turns in the air?

You can normally fold the roll away from the roller trainer, then it also does not touch the tire…

But then the rear wheel has no resistance at all. That means you're turning the pedals as fast as your feet can move… that is a movement therapy, not training. Each walk has a greater training effect.

Therefore there are no such stands without any role: They don't make sense, and the normal customer won't want to buy something that doesn't make any sense at all.

Couldn't you hang something in the spokes that the air resistance becomes much greater? This should also be done by a cable unwinder for transverse cable drums, which is also not inexpensive.
