Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro – correct sound setting?

Good morning,

I now own a pair of beyerdynamic dt 770 pro's ( 80 ohms ) after reading numerous reviews online that they were highly praised and said to offer excellent value for money. However, I am more than dissatisfied with them. The sound is inaccurate and extremely quiet.
Even my €10 earphones had more to offer in direct comparison and I had hoped for a much better music experience.

When it comes to specifications, technology, and components, I'm a complete novice, and I've heard that you have to configure the headphones correctly in the sound card settings. My PC is a bit older, and searching around, I seem to have "Nvidia Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)." What are the correct settings for these headphones, and where can I find them?

Firstly, it is possible that this combination simply does not work, see

On the other hand, the wrong output device is simply selected. NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device is already wrong, your screen gets the sound delivered.

Now you’d have to provide some more information. Do you have Windows 10 or 11? Which motherboard is in your PC or if it is a finished PC, what brand and model name does the PC have?

Look at the device manager and open the features of your sound card, for example:

Hello,

numerous experience reports on the Internet were praised in the highest tones and should have an excellent value for money.

I can confirm that. Also use the DT770 Pro in the 80 Ohm version

that you have to adjust the headphones correctly in the settings of the sound card

You don’t have to hire anything. I haven’t done that yet with any headphones.

The sound is inaccurate and super quiet

What’s the headphone connected to? Have you ever tried different connections or even devices?

Since I haven’t found a port on my pc for the big pawl, I screwed it off and the little one down there on my pc next to the power switch

I see a possible problem here

Connect the KH to your mobile phone (if there is a jack). With my pixel 4a I have to turn the volume completely, but even then it sounds good.

Hey, you think I’m going to use your headphone on your PC?

I have the 990 or so and was very dissatisfied at first. With me it was because most onboard sound cards don’t have enough power. You have to turn a little amplifier in between, which has made me wonder and the sound is breathtaking.

Vll. you should have read and understood the reports. Buy 80Ohm headphones and complain about ‘iron’ sound? 😀 Classical user mistakes.

These are also linear headphones and for decades reference class in this segment.
