Operate irrigation system with tap and rainwater?
Hello, I wanted to ask if it is possible to switch back and forth between drinking water and rainwater when an automatic irrigation system is operated with rainwater (pump), for example if the rainwater is used up then to feed in tap water instead?
Are there any ways to automate this? With sensors or solenoid valves?
We are also happy to suggest solutions!
Of course you can…
…but it won’t make sense even if you ask the question several times…
Rain tones collect rainwater = that means they also need space for rainfall…
…to keep them constantly full of tap water is counterproductive…
…you can connect the garden hose to the faucet…
(why then fill tap water into the rain ton and pump it out from there?)
Hello,
As already answered in your other question, a float valve would be the appropriate instrument and if you could put the float so deep that it will only open when the rainwater pump does nothing more, then the float valve would open and run fresh water, which would have the advantage that there is still room for the rainwater! However, it might be that the small valve does not run as much as you need during casting, you just have to take a little break or adjust the valve higher that it already opens beforehand!
Sure. If the level of your ton drops below a certain value, it should be filled up
The mechanical technique is installed in each toilet case. Swimmer closes a valve when the water level is sufficient.
