Fraudsters have access to the settings?
I just received a message from the settings asking if "+49••••••••18" was my phone number. But the two digits at the end didn't match my number. The message was in English, even though my phone is set to German. The message came from the settings, not from WhatsApp, SMS, or messages. There was nothing in the settings themselves. (iPhone XS Max). Why was the message in English? Why was the message sent to me? Why was the message from the settings? Are there scammers on your phone now?
Don’t worry, these are massive attempts to lure you back or visit a contaminated site.
alternative version: “hey papa, I have a new handy number, please call back” and that will be sent to women….
the build on the curiosity of the people who take such spam for cash.
