Best university for nautical science?
Hello!
I'll probably start studying nautical science in the winter semester of 2025 and am currently looking for a university I'd most like to study at. The question naturally arises: which is the best?
I personally would like to start by working on board and then continue working ashore in my mid- to late 30s (as a pilot or fleet manager, etc.). Which offers the best opportunities there?
I've heard a lot of good things about HS Bremen so far. Is it one of the best in Germany or what do you think?
Thanks
I highly recommend Flensburg!
It is recommended to complete a training as a ship mechanic beforehand, even if you want to make a patent.
VG
Why Flensburg?
I do not intend to do the training beforehand
I liked studying in Elsfleth
Okay. Thank you.
Would you recommend studying directly or making training a NOA or a ship mechanic?
You could do this in the practical semester during your studies or before…
I personally would walk the longer way over the ship mechanic
I think the long way to practice is most sensitive.
Okay, thank you for your assessment
Another captain has recommended me exactly in opposite directions haha. But that doesn't matter first, I'll look
Regarding Pilot, do you still find the “traditional” away from the Captain's Patent or is the Master's degree interesting?
