Career entry & salary adjustment after 6 months to 1 year?
hey
After being unemployed for a long time, I found a new job as a production assistant in a temporary employment agency a few weeks ago
The work itself is good and fun and could be a good opportunity for a career starter to gain experience
Unfortunately, I only earn 2030 euros gross with 13.50 per hour pay group 1
which is significantly more than the minimum wage, but the basic wage is only 2030 euros gross according to the contract.
Now I plan to ask for more basic wages after 6 months when I have completed the probationary period and wanted to know if that is too early and creates a bad image or if it could even lead to termination if you give the impression of not being satisfied
because many say you should ask after 1 year at the earliest, if not even after 1.5 or 2 years and then it is not certain whether you will get more basic wage and how much more can only be from 2030 to 2100 euros gross because the temporary employment agency says
they already get good money
or we can no longer pay.
I was thinking about
approximately 2350 or 2400 euros gross basic salary, which means that you might get a net income of 1650 to 1700 euros with tax class 1 or would that be too high
because people often say 2 or 3 percent more each year, which would only be 60 euros gross more
That means I would have to work for years to get from 2030 to around 2400 gross, maybe 4 or 5 years if you calculate that, which would be really long
My question is also whether 6 months of experience as a semi-skilled laborer is enough to negotiate more wages after passing the probationary period and what you think an adjustment from 2030 to around 2350 euros
is that too high
Should we maybe go from 2030 to 2150 euros??
The temporary work company will give you a job. If it works well in this company, you can ask if they take you. After half a year, I wouldn’t advise you to ask for a wage increase. Working into a job is not so fast. In order to justify a wage increase, you also have to have the arguments about it, not only the time you are busy there.
