Does filter coffee cause diarrhea?

Hello, I was on night shift last night and to stay awake I made myself a filter coffee and haven't even drunk half a cup of it and since this afternoon I've had watery diarrhea which also tasted really bitter. Is that why it's happening?

Coffee acts dewatering and can cause diarrhea

The caffeine contained in the coffee has a diuretic effect, i.e. it can extract fluid from the body and cause you to excrete more of it with the urine or chair.

Coffee in gastrointestinal infection

Either you’ve eaten something wrong – transit time is about 6 hours, you can think about what you’ve taken to you in that time – or water or coffee maker were germinated, that is, not properly cleaned or the water was too cold during passage. Or the coffee contained something that didn’t belong in when he was mega bitter, any pollutants. Did you bring the coffee yourself or could any “love” colleague have done something?

No, where did the coffee come from? Office or your own? Does anyone have any other access or just you? But with “Flips mexican” I wouldn’t be too sure, depending on what spices are in there that can also provide for thin pepper.

My tip: don’t use this coffee anymore, but get yourself a pack that nobody else can access (lock!). The “special bitter taste” gives me to think, would not be the first time that someone does something in a coffee to give a different diarrhea or worse.

Hello,

You can’t answer that from a distance. Casual diarrhea can also be a sign that you have a gastrointestinal infect. Or anything else has upset your digestion. In case of acute continuous diarrhea, it is best for the doctor.

I wouldn’t say.

You have to make the coffee right.
