Not working in a mini-job because of training?

Hello,

I'm 18 and will probably have a new part-time job soon, and I'm still being asked about my working hours. The thing is, I have training twice a week in the evening, which means I can't work those hours. But now I'm wondering if it's even a valid reason why I can't work because of that?

Is it a question of priority or is it generally wrong not to be able to work at those times?

This wasn't a problem with my old part-time job because the working hours there didn't overlap with my training, but it will be the case with the new one.

Above all, I wouldn't know what to say to my employer. Am I being honest?

Of course, you communicate that you can’t work on these two evenings because you have training. If this is not taken into account, it’s the wrong job.

Even with a mini-job, you are co-responsible to your employer in terms of your basic contract in time planning for the divided work planning by corresponding layer planning.

Moin, actually, that’s not a problem, my job also respects it and doesn’t question it. Unless you can only work 1x a week, then I would doubt as an employer how meaningful it is.
