Behält man die Anorexie Diagnose und bekommt eine zusätzliche Diagnose, wenn man bulimische Symptome entwickelt?
Ich habe die Therapie aufgrund (und mit) der Diagnose Anorexie (womit ich auch schon seit Jahren struggle und weshalb ich auch schonmal in Therapie war) angefangen und jz bulimische Symptomatik entwickelt:/
Bis jetzt war davon noch nicht die Rede, außer dass ich in ne Aussage meiner Therapeutin rein interpretiere, dass sie denkt, dass ich Bulimie habe (zwischen den zeilen mäßig). Ich habe auch nach wie vor, außerhalb der EAs ein ziemlich anorektisches Essverhalten und auch weiterhin den Wunsch abzunehmen, was ich derzeit auch nochmal tue. Bin nur leicht im Untergewicht.
Würde ich dann wahrscheinlich die AN Diagnose behalten und bekäme zusätzlich Bulimie diagnostiziert?

Yeah, that can happen. If your symptoms change and you develop bulimic behavior in addition to anorexia, it is possible to keep the diagnosis of anorexia and additionally get the diagnosis bulimia.
It is quite normal that people experience different phases in the course of their eating disorders or show features of multiple disorders. As you continue to take off anorectic behavior and desire, the diagnosis of anorexia could remain. At the same time, the new bulimic symptoms you describe could lead to an additional diagnosis.
It’d be good if you openly talk to your therapist. So you can clarify how she sees your situation and what diagnoses she thinks fit. An honest conversation about it can help you find the right way for your treatment and get the support you need.
