Only written termination is effective
The termination must first have been declared effective . After § 623 of the Civil Code (BGB) the termination of an employment relationship of the written form. The written form in turn requires a separate signature (cf. § 126 para. BGB ). A document without signature, a fax or an e-mail/WhatsApp is not enough!
