I usually hang it in the afternoon and let it dry overnight

Dress moths go only to animal fibres (wool, silk) and not to synthetic fibres, linen or cotton. All that is otherwise called “mots” by the language are ordinary night wrinkles that have no interest in textiles.

Beyond that, dress moths probably live in the houses rather than out there.

Dresses moths live where organic residues are in wool. For example, moths do not go to silk.
If your things are fresh, nothing goes in there. Only when these are worn and skin flakes or food residues are wool, moths have a nutrient medium.
Motten also go to linen…but not to silk

The only danger is that a squirrel sleeps in a bag….

I’ve never thought about it. Only if you have hammocks nearby, you should shake the laundry well after that (dreaming off).

I’m getting my laundry out more often overnight, never thought about moths or something. Depending on the weather, it can be moist again at night.
