Battery weak end of life?

Hello,

For months the car has been starting badly, it only starts after 3 seconds and when driving it jerks. After driving for a while and the car has reached operating temperature, the jerking goes away and drives normally.

Today the car didn't want to start at all, only after a while of jump-starting it started and after jump-starting it today when I drove for about 3 minutes it jerked and at the next traffic light when I accelerated it jerked and then went off. The second time I started it with bursts of gas etc. it started again and I let the engine rev up and did a few laps and everything worked again and started again.

I only drive in town, relatively rarely outside of town.

I think the battery is dead slow, right? Can I let it charge overnight?

For example, I would recommend this charger: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1306/2013 of 13 December 2013 laying down detailed rules for the application of Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of the environment and repealing Council Regulations (EC) No 1106/2006 (OJ L 347, 20.12.2013, p. 1).

When the battery is fully charged, the charger automatically switches to maintenance charge. This prevents overload and you can just let it go. No matter how long.

I also have this and I am fully satisfied with it.

Of course, you can charge the battery completely and see if the situation is better. Roughing after starting must have some other cause. Here systematic troubleshooting is announced in a GUTEN workshop.
