Crafting with concrete and foam blocks?

Hello everyone,

I'd like to "model" a castle, and make it as realistic as possible. I'd use rigid foam blocks, cut/sand/shape them accordingly. Then I'd like to coat individual elements with concrete. Not just concrete paint, but actual concrete. Is that possible? Will the concrete stick to the surface? Or is there a similar option that would actually be as hard and feel like concrete?

Thanks in advance!

You need a mass that also binds properly in quite thin layers. This could provide a concrete sealing slurries. If you mix some sand or add fine tile, different textures can be created. However, you would have to put some layers on top of each other in order to make the surface somewhat thicker, so that you can press them so easily.

In order to be able to model thicker details, lightning cement would have to be usable. However, it first needs an adhesive layer (sealing slurries).

Another possibility is plaster, which can be applied to insulated walls. In addition, reinforcing nets are incorporated therein and the surfaces are relatively robust.
