Does Origin ban manipulation in offline games?
Hello
Unfortunately, I missed the pre-order period for Jedi Fallen Order, so I missed out on the orange lightsaber. Since I really like the orange color for lightsabers, I'm toying with the idea of changing the packs a bit so that the green lightsaber is orange. However, since my account is worth a bit, I don't really want to get banned. Does Origin offer banwaves for offline games?
Thank you for your answers.
Basically, you’re right to change your files. The problem is that files from games do not belong to you, but you only have the right to use them. Grade at Origin I would be particularly careful.
Yes, as soon as EA has something to do with it, I will also consider it more. For example, I bought Undertale on Steam half a year ago. I’ve changed some storage data because it was offline. But EA has a bad reputation.
In my opinion, Steam is much more open.
I’ve changed some things in offline games several times, and I’ve also been chatting in the single player more often, has never been banned.
I don’t want to give you a guarantee.
However, as far as I know you will be banned from original, steam etc. only if you get an unfair advantage in online games with programs.
mf.
Yes. Steam does this too. Offline you can do what you want, but not online as long as you can disadvantage other players,
You wouldn’t give you an advantage but an item for which other users pay money. I’m not sure if you’re being banished, but I wouldn’t risk it for an “Orange Light Sword”.
If you could just pay for it, I would do it (as long as it is not too much). I don’t want to risk it either, but if someone here could confirm that you’re not being banned, I’d do it.
