Train pays more than 80 euros?

All trains are cancelled in Stuttgart today and my girlfriend wants to come to Heidelberg to see me.

But now Deutsche Bahn is paying for the trip to Heidelberg. According to her, there are five other people in the taxi.

Does this happen rarely?

Yeah, it’s quite rare.

When you get the cost refund you will find here.

Did she get a taxi voucher? Or did they and the 5 others pay the taxi themselves? In the case of the taxi voucher, the train has already paid the taxi, the taxi company is enough the voucher, at the train and gets the money. If they have paid themselves, the train will refund 80 euros per person. With 6 people you would have a taxi budget of a maximum of 480 euros. This should be easy from Stuttgart to Heidelberg.

This is quite common, even every day when people miss the last train and then no longer get to the destination by train. Then there is either a taxi ride or a hotel at the expense of the train.

As often as massive storms bring the rail traffic to rest.

Yeah, that’s always happening.

But because of storm, it is culmination from the train, normally they only have to do this if the outages are in debt.

Yeah, that’s normal.

The rules are, from the memory, in such a way:

  • At least 60 minutes late from a train (ggf mt proof stamp)
  • Taxi is cheaper than hotel accommodation
  • As many guests are put in a taxi
  • The delay must be that one connection either no longer drives or only after midnight.

I’ve been on Sunday afternoon for a while and sat in the taxi every 2nd -3rd week.

Almost, the rules are a bit different. One has either a right to a taxi if the scheduled arrival is before midnight and it is no longer possible by train to reach its destination station before midnight, or if the scheduled arrival is between 0 and 5 o’clock and a delay of more than one hour without using a taxi would be expected. Costs are refunded up to a maximum of 80 euros, if the taxi ride is more expensive, you have to take a hotel instead, which will be refunded if you no longer get to the destination station. It can, of course, also be that a taxi voucher is issued by the train, then you don’t have to anticipate anything. They will also like to be exhibited from Berlin to the Ruhr area if there are enough people together.

as I said. The train regularly paid me the taxi from Düdo to Wuppertal (with voucher)

But I’ve seen how they’re through the train and asked who wants to go to the train station. We had so much late that they had calculated whether it would not be cheaper to bring the people at the hotel down than to let the train finish.

No.

Normally not at all, the train normally doesn’t pay a taxi.

In Munich, they also used mla taxis, as the tram had a greater disturbance.

Sometimes they also used buses when it comes to failures.

In their case, the taxi will have been the faster and easier option.

That’s not right. She doesn’t always pay it, so conditions must be fulfilled, but if they are fulfilled then they pay.

Yes, quite often.
