Cancel train ticket due to illness?

Hello, I booked a ticket with Deutsche Bahn a week ago. Unfortunately, I've now become ill and can't travel, or rather, am not allowed to travel, for medical reasons. Can I cancel the ticket now and get a refund, even though it wasn't included in the original ticket price?

Thank you in advance

No, that’s your own risk taking the simple ticket

No, of course not if you bought a ticket where exchange is excluded.

It’s time to know

a super savings price only 12 h Cancelable after booking

https://www.bahn.de/angebot/sparpreis-flexpreis/super-sparpreis

Spare price up to a day before the trip can be cancelled

https://www.bahn.de/angebote/sparpreis-flexpreis/sparpreis

or

a flex price can also be cancelled up to a day before the trip

No, it’s just your own risk area. The train can’t do anything for your disease-related travel disability.

There are also travel cancellation insurance and ticket rates with valid or free cancellation options. The fact that you have chosen a fare before booking, which has ultimately proved to be inconvenient for you, cannot be loaded.
