Traveling by train in Austria?

Hey friends,

In August, I'll be in Austria (Lermoos) for five days. We'll be traveling a lot by train. I wanted to ask what options there are regarding tickets. Is there a weekly ticket? I've looked it up online, but I'm more confused now. I'm not in the mountains, and we'd like to explore some lakes and mountains. Thank you.

Depending on where you are.

There are not only ÖBB, but also numerous regional railways. In Vienna, the U railways and trams run over the Vienna lines, not over the ÖBB.

You can see the ticket options via the ÖBB app, there is no flat-rate weekly ticket.

Depending on the location (internal city there are usually time maps), there may be different possibilities.

There is no weekly ticket for the whole ÖBB. There are, however, timetables for their transport in regional transport networks.

So it depends on where you’re going.

You must also inform yourself, because the airline ticket is not just for 5 days.

In addition, the buses are extremely expensive, already low-cost.
