Bachelor thesis and citing (English teaching)?
Hey heyy,
I have a problem. I sent my bachelor's thesis in English today, but I'm worried even though I can't do anything anymore (stupid, I know).
My problem with citing is that I used "ibid." in the text, which in German is "ebd." When I quoted something from a source in my own words, I just used "ibid." in parenthesis. The problem is that normally I'm supposed to cite cf. and the source, but I simply used "ibid" without the "cf." (vgl. in German), because I thought that (cf.ibid. p.) was incorrect or not allowed.
If my bachelor's thesis was good but the citations were poor, without plagiarism being a problem but rather repetition of the source with "ibid" and confusion as to whether a quote was mine or the source, can I still pass? I indicated direct citations with " "…
Hopefully what I'm asking makes sense :/
No, it’s a simple form error. This will scratch the note, but you will certainly not only fall through it.
Thank you.
