Hello April,

you can start another training at any time.

With your first training you can be recognized for the first year of training.

Retraining would be common if you couldn't practice the old profession for any reason. But the professions are quite similar.

Good luck!

…Your first training can give you the first training year…

Sure? We were told differently at the vocational school. They're both kfm. Training, but with other content.

So in BaWü (not has to) any training (even if it was cooking or cleaning woman) can be recognized up to a year shortening of teaching time.

Section 8 BBiG applies nationwide:

  • If you change into a similar or related training profession and the basic training (usually the first training year) of the previous and the new profession is essentially identical, this time can be counted to you – a maximum of 12 months.

Hey, no you need a new training. My colleague has also done 🙂

But since many things are similar, you can possibly shorten.
