Automatik Schaltung im Gelände. Ja – Nein?

Hallo zusammen,

It’s been a long time since I was on a Gelöndewagen Trial event. Three automatic transmissions are spectacularly smoked, no single gear was broken.
Any questions?

Because the translation for the heavy terrain was too long and the transducer overheated. There should have been a manual transmission with ground reduction. 🙄 Alternatively, it should have been only light terrain.

I don’t think that makes a difference because in the automatic transmission there is also the 1 and 2 gear manually if you need a lot of speed at a certain point.

Applies only to light terrain.

A correct automatic system with hydraulic clutch is probably better, because in principle it operates without wear.

Wrong suspected.

A hydraulic clutch cannot actually break. In the end, you probably have to ask a professional.

As I said, I’d like to be better informed.

There’s no wind in heavy terrain, and a manual gear is driven with reduction, it doesn’t need much clutch. The automatic has no reduction and the converter is on high-speed operation and generates massive friction heat… the rest can you think.

The transducer is normally cooled by the cooling circuit. An advantage is also the high torque at low speeds. But as I said, it’s just my opinion. That’s just an expert.

Aotomatic transmissions tend to overheat in the terrain.

I think transmission with reduction is better in the area.automatic will like to get hot when stressed
