Yesterday there was an accident on the highway. I was in the middle of it. The highway was completely closed, and traffic was at a standstill for two hours. I turned off the engine and read my newspaper.
Suddenly, I had to go to the bathroom. There was a bridge above me, and I could see a portable toilet in the distance. I had to go to the bathroom. Because of that, and because traffic was at a standstill anyway, I went upstairs and did my business. It took 25 minutes because I had diarrhea.
As I came out and was about to get off the bridge to get back into my car, I saw that traffic was moving again. The cars and trucks in my lane were overtaking me from the hard shoulder. My car was abandoned and locked.
But after a truck stopped, I was able to get into my car and drive off. While I was starting the engine, I was insulted several times and given the middle finger once. My question:
Is this justified? Anyone could get the urge to go to the bathroom. Did I do something wrong? How would you proceed?
