So you have to look a little bit more in forums.

it is always possible – it is only the question – how difficult the manufacturer has to make it one – something like that himself.

for days, everything from a control unit is programmed – so that something would have to be switched freely. But you have to look through BMW foren.

I can only speak from my experience – which is already some time ago.

So I once bought a Opel Vectra B . that I quickly bought a new handlebar switch at Ebay – where the two tempomat keys were on and just exchanged it for the other one – and since all the cables live anyway – the tempomat also went without what I had to unlock.

With a friend a few years ago – we upgraded something like this at the VW Passat – there had to be an extra steering stick switch and also a piece of cladding on the column. but then he went immediately.

But our dear car manufacturers are very smart and also BMW, makes a lot of money from many things

For example, it was necessary to ask or read Motor Talk in the forum.

In part, it is simple, partly complex.

In my 2010 Avensis, the installation of the speed control lever was sufficient.

there used to be retrofits tempomats think but that is verganngenheit.

In principle, a control unit must be installed

an operating part must be installed

You need a speed signal

And an actuating element for the throttle valve must be installed

With the exception of the operating part, everything is not a car from 2005 😉
