Car has problems, does the seller pay for the warranty?

Hello everyone, about 2 months ago I bought a car from a dealer. Everything was running perfectly until 2 weeks ago when the car sporadically goes into emergency mode. According to Google research it is an electronic problem as the car has a DSG gearbox, so the entire electronics would have to be replaced, which would cost 1000-2000€.

Does the seller cover the repair?

The problem occurred after the purchase. I cannot rule out whether the problem existed before.

And do I have to pay anything? Because I only have the warranty…

Best regards

Depends on the damage.

If he is already given at purchase, the seller pays if not you.

You are only entitled to statutory warranty rights if the defect was already present when the goods were handed over.

Ask the dealer.

He says no, risky

If you actually have the warranty, you don’t have to pay for the repair, and the seller has to take over the repair.

If you actually have the warranty claims: Yes.

With what you write, yes.

Then go for it. 👍

Claim a guarantee. But this has to run over the dealer. You can’t find a workshop. Only if he agrees.

Private purchase, there’ll be no damage.

Buying at the dealer should be covered by warranty

Unfortunately, that was not the answer to the question.

That is the questioner’s warranty. It doesn’t matter whether private or retailer.

Read, understand. Right keyword!

But most importantly, negatively evaluate my comment.
