Car is a total loss, can I still repair it?

Can I take the repair costs stated in the appraisal instead of buying the car again and selling it for the residual value?

1000 is the purchase price and 1100 excluding VAT is the repair cost, and the residual value is 250€.

Does the insurance cause problems?

“1000 is the procurement value and 1100 without mwst” The sentence doesn’t make any sense!

You can repair the car yourself.

If the repurchase value (unfall-free) is 1000€, after deduction of the residual value (250€)/and deduction of the VAT (19%) / and possibly recalculation of the insurance after fictitious billing, you may get paid 300 – 400€ .

You can also have your car repaired, but you have to take the difference.

Because the insurance only pays the repurchase value.

You can do what you want with your car.

you’ll probably get away better if you’re looking for another car.

economic total damage can also be formulated differently than “Schrott”.
