Auto im Ausland tunen – Zulassung?

Guten Tag,

Also das übliche was man so an Exterior tunt 😅

You should make sure that the installed parts have an EU type or ABE for your vehicle.

If these attachments are timely, your H status can be maintained, but that should be checked beforehand otherwise threatens loss of H approval and extinguish the approval.

what still happens in handy, the vehicle is equipped with ABE parts that are considered not compatible. It is not easy to dismantle parts with ABE or type-approval, but it must be checked whether they are still permissible in combination, which can lead to problems, especially when it comes to chassis and boddykits.

Before asking the Tüv, the checkpoint which is to be removed later and what is to be dismantled. Otherwise you can leave it or have to rebuild what can be worse.

the cultivation parts have a valid ABE in Germany, the “tuning” is allowed

a historical vehicle may only be equipped with “new-time parts” if they are used for driving safety (e.g. if an improved chassis of Billstein is installed).

With non-original parts, for changing optics and exhaust gas control, the Fzg. would possibly still be allowed (if parts are legal), but would most likely lose the status of “historical vehicle”.

The provisions of the country where the FZG is authorised and moved shall apply. In this case, DE. All that is allowed in DE to tuning, you can let yourself be done abroad. However, don’t look at it personally, I would rather expect hurdles, because the ABEs required in DE will hardly have the status of foreign countries abroad.

If everything fits. ABEs or opinions help with the tester’s acceptance. Without such papers, the whole thing is equal to zero. Regarding the H sign – there must be a contemporary tuning. So parts that already existed at that time. And what I remember – precisely because of the non-EU foreign countries – raise bills! Perhaps customs and co could show interest and would be stupid if they were to appreciate the missing evidence.

you can do, but you can’t be surprised if you lose the H sign.

or do you think it was >30 years ago

It’s allowed only the H-character left.
