Undressing or viewing genitals during urine tests "under direct vision" for the MPU (Medical Abstinence Test). Any experience or knowledge of this? TÜV Nord, please?

I (f) will soon be submitting a 15-month urine screening test for my MPU at TÜV Nord. The urine samples will be taken "under direct supervision." What could this mean? I might be taking off some clothes or being naked? Or will they look between my legs, or worse?

“In view” actually means that you will see a med. employee (often also a doctor or doctor himself) during urination. The institutes have different approaches. In some cases “directly” is looked at, but there are also places that happen through a mirror that is attached near the toilet and the employee/article then also “just” looks through the mirror. However, it is necessary to move the clothes to such an extent that the genitals are clearly visible.

Take some clothes off or even pull out naked – if at all – should be the exception. If this would be “required”, one could assume that no one is watching directly during urination and one can go to the cabin alone.

The reason for this procedure is quite simple to explain that manipulations (e.g. foreign urine) can thus be excluded.
