Well, he’s an important part of his ecosystem, so it would definitely be a loss.

Is the question what you mean now with “for Germany”. In general, every animal that dies in my eyes is a great loss (even mosquitoes as they serve many animals as food) no matter where it dies.

Basically, every animal that extincts above all through us humans is a loss. I’m not sure it would have a big impact if the Feldhamster died, but it would be a loss.

It would have very little to no influence on the respective ecosystem if Panda, Koala or a single whale died, but in my opinion it would be a great loss.

Yes and No…

Because in principle you are right, but many areas are only due to these species. at least under protection, thus protecting Pandas alone by their Presence whole ecosystems before man. ;

Usually the disturbances in the ecosystem are not detected until it is too late. This can also have direct economic consequences; for example, leopards have been fought for livestock farming because they have eaten cattle. The result was that monkeys have increased strongly, which then have eaten the fruit plantations empty, as the leopards have eaten more monkeys than was seen. (How was that with the wolves?)

Or the rabies vaccination of the fox promotes the fox bandwurm, which is much more dangerous for people than rabies.

We simply do not know whether the Feldhamster, for example, reduces a feed source which is occupied by other then harmful animals during its extinction.

In principle, an ecological system is the more stable the more diverse it is. Therefore, any erased species is a loss.

Since in nature everything is connected to each other, the loss could have much greater impact.

Yes, that’s a sign for the loss of biotopes

JEDES Animal that dies leaves a gap in the food chain.

For example, over 70% of human food is dependent on pollination by insects.
