Riding out with a horse but not a stable friend?

Heyy,

Since the weather is relatively nice today, I wanted to go riding with my RB for the first time. However, the owner recommended that I go with someone, as she'd never been out riding alone with him before. (I'm sticking to this and wouldn't go riding alone for the first time either.) However, I don't know the people there very well and don't have any stable friends yet. The owner said that there's usually someone out riding, and I should just ask.

My question: Should I just ask everyone I see at the stables who seems nice to me if they want to go riding, or how do you do it?

Best regards! Thanks in advance for the answers!!^^

The riding stables all have a Whatsapp group. Just start a call!

That you can find someone right half an hour before you’re lucky. Even if you’re a parent at the stable.

I have actually introduced my RB’s to the people who are suitable as a ride partner. Why don’t you ask the owner who runs out regularly and what they look like?

We have a board at the stable, so you can write something like: “Search out riding” or “Will someone ride with me at the XY?”

Sure, just address the people and submit your concern. Maybe someone is looking forward to the same situation. Or a social group likes to take you.

Groups I always find something difficult if you don’t know your own horse well. If the horses are accustomed to such a constellation, that’s good.

But our zb are not and if we are a larger group then the mood usually swings up quickly and the cozy ride is out in competitions. Even if you can make the horses not run, the thing is always too spanish for me.

It is best to discuss with the owner; He knows the people. I knew it from small to no other way than riding out with the whole club every Sunday morning, and there would never have been “Wettrennen ”. And if I’m going to ride out somewhere today as a riding share, I’m going to get to know who I’m going to ride with and who better not.

Hey, yeah.
And if one finds you sympathetic, he will speak to himself.

The stable owner even asked me a few times when she was finished riding whether we want to ride a round in the grounds.

Best regards

Yeah, you do, you just ask in the stable if you can join.

Until you find someone to ride out, you’re not going out!

You can also ask the owner if she can recommend someone you could go out with.

In my first RB years, I always went out with people from the stable who were nice but not my friends. The accompaniment had to be full-year and with 13 you have fewer full-year friends 🤷 ♀️ even today my riding accompaniments are usually more acquainted than friends, my only real stable friend is just for a year abroad

Start a conversation with someone who looks nice and then tell someone you’re looking for a ride and if he/she might come with you. Just try to be friends with the owner’s friends. They know your horse and the owner and are experienced when riding

Yeah, you do. You just look who’s still here and ask her if you can join.

If you don’t find anyone, you could walk and watch the riding trails. Not only do you get to know the area but also the horse and you get to know each other.

But we’ve got three o’clock, and we’re dark at four. There will probably not be much today despite good weather.
