Replace exhaust?
I own an R170 32 AMG, which sounds pretty awesome with the original AMG exhaust. However, I find it a bit of a shame that the 6-cylinder engine only burbles quietly when idling.
In a storage room there is a VÄTH exhaust that has been gathering dust for years.
Apparently it was too loud, so my father reinstalled the old one a few years ago.
But I remember that it sounded pretty aggressive. The only problem was that you couldn't hear the passenger at a certain rev range…
My question is, what would you have done in my place?
- Try the VÄTH exhaust
- Leave it and sell it

I’d leave it with the original.
ORIGINAL IS LEGAL
Because if the VÄTH listens aggressively, it can be good that you get regularly in controls from the friend and helper. This often entails avoidable stress.

Exactly. Leave it with the originals. I think that’s better. In addition, the original cars are also worth more in the long term. Look at the Golf 1 GTI or Golf 2 GTI. 1. find an original and 2. they are now worth a lot of money.
