Auslandsjahr Japan oder USA?

Hallo ,

ich möchte übernächstes Jahr ein Auslandsjahr während der Schulzeit machen und habe auch schon die Teilnahme Bestätigung von USA und Japan nur muss ich mich demnächst entscheiden kann dies aber nicht , ich würde gerne Japan gehen aber dafür braucht man immer noch die Covid-19 Impfung und ich würde mich nicht dafür impfen (bitte nicht darüber reden das ist ein anderes Thema ) und ich weiß nicht ob es sich demnächst etwas an der Regel ändert , und USA will ich eigentlich auch , was würdet ihr machen ? Noch warten oder was soll ich machen ?

a year abroad during school, a student exchange, is in any case a good idea. For your questions:

  • The purpose of student exchange is that you get to know a country, people, culture and language well. What culture interests you more – USA or Japan?
  • The conditions for both countries vary. This is especially your preparation: you will know English as a language from school. This makes the start easier in the USA year.
  • For Japan it is necessary to know that not only the language is a higher hurdle, but also the ways of dealing in everyday life differ much more from ours. For Japan, an intensive preparation for the country, language and everyday life is recommended. This is the question of how you can do it.
  • Whether and how the Covid rules change in Japan, nobody can safely predict today.

but for that you still need the Covid-19 vaccination and I wouldn’t inoculate for it

Then the choice is clear, USA. It’s also irrelevant if something will change at some point if you have to decide now. It’s a pity about Japan (I had my exchange year in Japan), but in the USA you can spend an interesting year.
