You should be looking for a school there. You also need a visa if you want to go for more than 6 months.

Hello

a year abroad in GB is a good idea. For your questions:

  • Since BREXIT, a visa is required for GB if you want to stay for more than 6 months. It’s difficult for state high schools. You can avoid a private high school.

To live abroad with indigenous relatives is not a good idea:

  • If problems occur in the year you have no alternative than to drive to the house immediately. Exchange organisations will only search you for a new host family if they have communicated you to a host family beforehand
  • If you live with your aunt, you risk not speaking English completely (not German) AND spending too much time with her, so that you enter the community there (school, friends…) too little.

So better is to turn on a professional exchange organization that gives you a good high school and host family and can support you in case of problems in GB.

Procedure The year abroad is a larger project. You should prepare the year systematically. There are
