What year is this product from?

Years ago, while cleaning out a shared apartment, I found these "party knockers"/herbal liqueurs.
Koebers: Golden Gooal 12x20ml 28%vol
Does anyone remember when these might have been purchased?
The packaging is still sealed and in its original shrink-wrap, and bears a famila price tag (12.99 DM). So, presumably, it was made before the introduction of the euro. ^^ But in which year exactly?

I had contacted Koebers in the past via email with pictures and questions, but unfortunately never received a response.
Do you think it's still drinkable? Not that I want to tear open the packaging right now, but maybe as a gift for a football fanatic on a special occasion?

The other answers go in the same direction, probably to the EM/WM.
A herbal liqueur is already in need of reconciliation. If you can arrange the taste, nothing speaks against trying to taste it.
Could only find that:
Today 25 years agoGermany won the European Championship for the third time through the first “Golden Goal” of history.
That’s why I think this must have been produced shortly after the EM 1996. That’s all I could find.

Those were still times. From the design, I also tap the second half of the 1990s, perhaps the EM 1996 or WM 1998.
