That’s different. In the cabin there is the outer window, then a middle disk with a calibrated hole, in order not to allow the pressure difference to become too large. Inside is simply a scratch protection against cramped passenger fingers or against greasy hair while leaning against it;-) Everything is made of acrylic – and does not go through.

Cockpit discs consist of several layers of tempered glass and/or acrylic with the films also known from the car and a heating layer in between. The front panes are the thickest, the side panes are slightly thinner. This varies depending on the aircraft manufacturer and the design of the aircraft.
