Audi A4 b8 error P030A steering angle sensor?

Good day,

I've had the error P030A | Steering angle sensor for about a week now.

My question is, are there any of you car experts who might be able to help me? What exactly does this error mean? I've done a bit of research and a lot of people are saying that it seems to be just the steering angle sensor, but Carly Smart Mechanic says that the ignition coil is defective. This can't be the case, as I have an A4 b8 2.0 TDI , built in 2009. I also replaced my steering wheel a while ago. However, this was three months ago and the error only appeared now. About a week ago I also had an ESP/ABS fault and was no longer able to switch it on manually. After restarting the engine for the first time, the error did not occur again.

So the question now is, should I just replace the sensor? Since everyone says something different, I'm not sure.

Thanks for the answers 🙂

Yes, it could actually be the steering angle sensor that triggers the error P030A. the sensor may have damaged or is simply old and must be replaced To make sure it would be best if you were looking for a professional who could examine the car and fix the error

The steering angle sensor is seated on the steering gear in the vehicle. 😉 just to info what you’d think the coil spring

  1. You can’t trade anything. – Criminal Infringement Civil Code
  2. This can only be exchanged by one employee “while working time with official workshop order via the checkout” of the workshop with an airbag certificate.
  3. Reading with VCDS not with CARLY!!!
  4. With VCDS the steering angle sensor KALIBRIERE!!!
  5. The steering angle sensor sits on the steering gear!!!
  6. The coil spring on the steering wheel can be damaged.
  7. You can’t keep crafting on it alone and the workshop can only do it with order in the working hours with an airbag ticket. The appearance is valid for “commercial use” After the end of the evening, the employee must not make it.

So now you have a Todo.

Your carly can bend first. You definitely need VCDS and then you get calibrated first.
