Audi A4 B5 only starts with starter fluid?

As already described in the title, my Audi A4 B5 2.5 TDI only starts with starter fluid… and my question is why?!

the glow plugs were replaced

the fuel line was replaced because the air came in

The diesel pump was replaced because it was defective… and now the car only starts with the starter pilot… And if you let the car warm up and turn it off, it still starts after 2-5 minutes without the starter pilot

but then you have to spray into the air filter again…

Does anyone know what it could be?

thank you in advance:)

Greetings Timo

Do the tax times vote? Is the start of funding right? Were the nozzles checked on their spray pattern once? What does your intake air temperature sensor say?

Usw etc. The whole thing would now be a case for the diagnostic device and quite classic for the meter for adjusting the pump.

The question is: who installed the pump

That already, but only with one that recognizes the actuator and not with one of the Bluetooth dongels. These are dingevdievsidn so profound, you need a professional device and the right set values

I see the problem that many of the pumps do not adjust properly. You don’t think what I’ve seen from mechanics of the brand. There, Vienna pump is built without locking and then not correctly adjusted etc.

It is often due to the injection pressure in the cold condition.

Measure pressure in cold start, measure pressure in warm start. Can also be located on the crank shaft sensor, which in the cold to stand does not properly detect the rotation of the motor and therefore does not inject the fuel.

Or other electric problems.

I don’t think crankshaft sensor. Then he’d switch to the emergency program right away. I also think that it comes from the direction of injection.

You got him in the workshop?

If so, that’s why I do everything myself in the car.

The starter must make a minimum revolution. The capacity of your battery will no longer meet the power consumption of the starter.

How many miles? Test compression.

Compression is measured with a device that is placed in the bulb bore. But the workshop can do that.

Compression is hardly a problem with the engine. In most cases, there are problems in the area of injection. Especially if the pumps were not correctly installed and removed
