Eine Freundin ist seit Januar als Au-Pair hier in Deutschland und würde gerne demnächst mit einem FSJ anfangen.
Mal angenommen, sie findet einen Platz, kann sie ihr AuPair Visum in ein FSJ Visum umwandeln oder muss sie das FSJ zwingend nach ihrem AuPair Jahr machen? Und muss das Visum vorm FSJ geändert sein, oder reicht es, wenn sie mit ihrem noch gültigen AuPair Visum anfängt und es während dem ersten Monats des FSJ geändert wird?

In fact, according to § 18j AufenthG, the possibility of an FSJ constitutes one of the exceptions to this rule, but this must sufficient in advance to the aliens’ authority, the necessary papers must be asked for your individual case, I cannot judge.
