No, not in this case. The adapter is attached (The 1st of your pictures.)
Since I also use this power supply, I can say it from 1st hand.
I use it together with my RTX 4090 for about a 3/4 year.
Didn’t you have to buy extra was everything you needed?
There was everything I needed.
Thank you.
Exactly.
This plug
Is already included with ATX3.0 power supplies. Power supplies according to the older ATX2.4 specification do not have this yet, so you need this cable whip to adapt up to 4 8pin graphics cards plug from your power supply to the new plug.
However, not for all graphics cards, there are also board partners who still have their RTX4xxx graphics cards with several of the 8 pin connectors, at least up to the RTX 4070 this is the case.
The card is provided with the matching adapter for your power supply.
It has the lower connection from the first picture. These only have the 3.0 power supplies. Therefore, the 6+2 pin connectors, the adapter and then the graphics card must be inserted.

It depends on the map you need.
If it has one or more 8-pin connectors, you need 8-pin connectors.
If it has a 12VHPWR connection, you need a 12VHPWR plug or adapter.
Since you don’t call a card here, you won’t be able to answer it exactly.
