But I'm wondering if you can really use it only for gaming or also as a regular PC. If you simply connect the charging cable and monitor via HDMI, and the keyboard and mouse can be connected via Bluetooth, you should be able to use it as a regular PC.

Kannst im Endeffekt jedes aktuelle Handheld via Dock auch als Desktop nutzen. Windows im Handheld Modus ist jetzt nicht so prickelnd.
Kann man sehr wahrscheinlich. Ist mit dem Steam deck (steams Konkurrent zum ROG) nicht anders. Maus Tastatur Ran und Monitor dann haste ne normale Linux Maschine. (Beim ROG ist’s dann halt Windows)
