ASUS laptop no longer recognizes the external monitor connected via HDMI after a program crash?

Hello,

I have a large monitor connected to a gaming laptop and am working with a CAD program. I had to insert several DWG files into a CAD file. At some point, the file became too large and my laptop crashed. I restarted. Due to the file size, I could no longer open the file, but I could open another file. The laptop works, but it no longer recognizes the monitor connected via HDMI. I connected a different monitor with a different HDMI cable. That works, too. It no longer recognizes the monitor under display settings. Is the HDMI port broken or blocked? Can it be reactivated?

Thank you in advance.

Hi.

Yeah, that’s possible that something’s going to break up in a crash.

But that only affects the software.

Probably you should repair Windows, or just repair the system files.

No, you can’t break anything.

Here the step by step is explained: https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/windows/use-der-systemfilepr%C3%BCfung-in-windows-365e0031-36b1-6031f804-8fd86e0ef4ca

You can get this done by someone who knows it.
