Asumate 20 and vitamin C (ascorbic acid)?

Hello,

I take the Asumate 20 birth control pill. I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with dietary supplements, specifically vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The package insert lists ascorbic acid as a medication that reduces contraceptive effectiveness. I wanted to take vitamin C and cranberry capsules because I was starting to get a bladder infection.

What do you say about that?

  • HIV and hepatitis C virus infections (so-called protease inhibitors and non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors such as, for example, Ritonavir, Nevirapin, Efavirence)
