I would argue against it. It can be said that someone can be professionally quite excellent, which justifies a good note, although the spelling is bad. But if the spelling can no longer be evaluated, some of the pupils would provide educationally illegitimate texts which make it very difficult for the teacher to judge the professional quality at all. That’s what you’re looking at.
