Are these statements correct – permutation?
Addition: 3 + 4 + 5
Multiplication: 3 x 4 x 5
Summary:
- In addition there are 6 permutations, but the result always remains the same because addition is commutative.
- In multiplication there are also 6 permutations, and the result remains the same because multiplication is commutative.
In both cases there are 6 permutations , but the main difference is that addition has no "intermediate steps" (there are no intermediate results ), while in multiplication the order of the calculation steps can theoretically be different.
Why should there be no intermediate results in addition, this is very good.
