Hello everyone, I wanted to ask if you also regularly have problems with USB-C charging ports and charging cables? My laptop is less than three months old and it no longer charges properly. I'm basically plugging the charging cable into the laptop at an awkward angle, and that definitely shouldn't be happening after three months….

There are different Lightning cables, Apple has changed this over time.

The Lightning USB-A cable can not charge quickly so maximum with 5V and 12W.

Only with the USB-C Lightning cable is fast charging possible up to 12V and 20W. The outer shell of the plug has been made somewhat wider. With this cable, however, it is no longer possible to put the iOS device into the DFU mode, which is only possible with the USB-A cable.

The same USB-C cable is also available with fabric sheathing. This is technically the same but more robust and looks more beautiful and is available as a special edition for the iMac also in different colors..
