Are there alternatives to Shopify?

I have a problem. I can't set up an online shop with Shopify because I don't have PayPal and I'm not yet 18, and my parents don't have PayPal either/they can't for certain reasons. Are there any alternatives? (I don't want to give up on my dream because of something like this.) Thank you for your answers!!!πŸ™πŸ™

You must register a business as soon as you intend to make a profit and you want to operate sustainably , from day one .

This is the case for you, and of course you have to pay taxes on your income.

And no, the amount of your income doesn't matter at all and taxing is not the same as paying taxes .

Click: Trade Regulations

You are a minor, so you need the consent of your legal guardians and approval from the family court to register a business.

The family court will examine very carefully whether you have the necessary maturity and the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to run a business independently.

Sound (!) commercial knowledge (including information on the imprint requirement, right of withdrawal, competition law, product liability, liability for material defects/warranty, Product Safety Act, GDPR, Packaging Ordinance, taxes, insurance, health insurance, etc.) on your part is a basic requirement for such a project; and this will also be examined by the court.

You will also need to prepare and submit a business plan, and your school will also be asked for a statement.

Even if you are a minor, you should definitely visit this site first, otherwise you will fail miserably:

By the way, if you are a minor you can forget about Amazon, eBay and PayPal, they are all without exception (!) for people over 18 .

And I wouldn't take any chances, the responsible authorities now have some amazing options…;-)
