Booking.com requires you to enter names for flights. Are these transferred to your account at check-in, or do you have to enter them again? Is it possible to change them at check-in?

The names have to match. Why would you want to change your name? A flight isn't like Instagram, where you can travel with nicknames.
The name on the residence permit is written slightly differently than on the travel document
