Are metal items allowed in my check-in baggage?

Hello 🙂 I'm flying for the first time tomorrow, and wanted to know how it is with metal in the check-in luggage (I actually only mean things like belt buckles, zippers on coats, bags etc.)? Then I wanted to know how it is with electronic items (camera, cell phone, iPod, etc.)? Can I use my camera and iPod on the plane?

Thanks for all the answers 🙂

how this is with metal in check-in Gepaeck (I mean actually only things like guerrillas, rice sluts on rowels, bags, etc.)?

No problem – would be stupid to have all the rice closures cut out and take them back at the resort 🙂

Can I use camera and iPod on the plane???

Camera yes, Videocamera and iPod after reaching the travel altitude and activated autopilot yes (will also be announced or Flight attendants ask), telephone and SMS receive/transmittingHandy (usually) not.

The reason is clear: most of the things on board work electrically (ruder, landing approach) and even if it is highly unlikely could be your phone’s disturbing.

Is like with unintentional triggering of airbags: occurs once in 100,000 cases – and neither you nor the others on board are keen to try out whether you Mobile phone that can:-)

Yeah, you can. Also in the hand luggage or on the body – all easy.

The scanners recognize metal and represent it in color – if your belt buckle in shape and size does not correspond to a handgun, all well.

For my tours to the USA I always have a sharp fiskarOther (small axe) abandoned – NO problem 🙂

Only in Hand luggage must not be carried with pocket knives, not even a nail file or nail scissors, even a metal ballpoint pen I had to sacrifice – even no liquids from a certain size – look:

Thanks for HA and a pleasant flight

Everything is allowed as long as it cannot be used as a weapon. Electronic items may also be taken (must be enabled on request). Without lightning, you can use a camera that doesn’t bother anyone.

Even in your hand luggage, things may be metal. I’ve been flying with cake form, zig charging cables and a foot pedal. Only weapons or other pointed objects must not be in hand luggage, so no knitting needles, nail files, knives, etc.

You can also have knives in your baggage. You’re not coming in during the flight.

You can use camera and iPod. But do your fellow travelers Please… I photograph regularly from the window and bring 30 photos and more of some flights. (It doesn’t get all the photos what.) The fellow travelers can see it, but don’t hear it.

You need to disable the transmission functions of all devices during the flight. So put the phone on flight mode and disable the Wi-Fi function of the iPod if it has something.

Fun 🙂

You can bring metal objects as they were mentioned by you in your hand luggage, that’s not a problem. Otherwise it would also be quite complicated.

In the airplane itself, you can use camera and iPod if you have an iPod touch (i.e. a wlan-enabled) you must switch off the wlan beforehand (due to the radio signals that might interfere with the aircraft devices).

In the suitcase you can carry everything apart from explosives and illegal gestures, because you can’t get it during the flight.

If you have metal on the belt or the zipper, pip this thing where you have to go through to get into the waiting area. If it piept examines you one of the employees with such nem small “Pip part”. So if it is piept in the belt, then he will know that it is the belt;)
ABER you can definitely take cell phone & co on the plane. Only you have to shut them off during start & landing, but the stewardesses will tell the passengers 😉
