Are files deleted with "Eraser" still partially viewable?

Hello everyone, I have a question for PC software experts.

I installed the file destruction program "Eraser," which claims to permanently and irreversibly delete any type of file, even though professional file recovery software has no chance of recovering it. Now I'm testing it, and it seems to work, BUT:

Under "Explorer > Start > Recent," the previously deleted files are still listed, even with preview images (see attachment). Now I'm wondering how this can be, even though they were supposedly permanently deleted? Do I need to do anything else?

I use "Gutmann" as the deletion method.

Some deletion programs only delete the data via a batch when restarting. Try that, or read your software in the help pages.

Or you have to run the program with admin rights.

Well, they’re in the list, but can you do anything with them? If you do not delete the entries in the list together with the saved image, this will remain. These are not the files themselves, but other files, only references and saved previews.

Well, uh, here’s a little hint: No, you can’t open the file. What you’re doing is to open a reference, and it doesn’t find its goal anymore.

Find and delete. Look at the directory where they are located, for example the cache for recent files. You can also get someone with a clue that shows you directly with your finger and lets you write it down.

The file IS gone. For the rest you have to take care of yourself if your Eraser has no option. You give it a file and other files are uninteresting and the preview images ARE OTHER files.

Look into the cache and forget to fix your favorite deleted file.

Example cache: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

The image shows not the file in the current state, but from then when the image was made. The image is stored as an image in an ANDEREN file. If someone is so sharply deleted, he must also delete these preview image files. Same.

The file has been deleted, but not any image that was eventually removed from the file and stored elsewhere. This image and the reference are ANDERE files and the Eraser, I don’t know him well, may have no option or he has them to remove references to the file to be deleted.

An example: You save a link that shows on an Internet site. If this website is deleted, the link continues to exist. You can’t start with it anymore, because if you want to use it, it’s always just a hint that the page would no longer be accessible or another content comes because someone created a new page for this address.
